As I walked into the Emergency today early in the morning 4-5am ish, full room of young working staffs are chatting sitting together, which I could understand since it was so early in the morning and not many people. The staffs are not the most friendly as I was feeling ill already, those faces were like I was wasting their time. There was this door has the sign saying wave to the right with a black sensor to open, which I did, but not working right away, the male staff just sat there and said, " read the sign, read the sing, just read the sign", I was like, there must be a better attitude! I CAN and DID read! If it is the service the staff in VGH Emergency trainned, I feel deeply sorry for other elders or people who may having difficulty understand english! They were not busy at all and that's the attitude I got from the staff, I can't imagine when it is busy, all other paitents may get even more horrible attitude and service from the staff! On the other hand, the Dr. was so paitent and clearly explained everything to me, and he ensured everything was fine with me, I felt such a relief after seeing my Dr. I wonder why there's such a big difference between the staff and the Dr. in the VGH emergency?
