She absolutely has no patience. She talks very fast. At some point, I asked her a question and she raised her voice at me and said “don’t interrupt me we’ll take questions later!” I was very nervous about the procedure and her attitude made it worse. She also got irritated with me when I was answering her questions. She then showed me diagrams to help me answer. She also doesn’t listen very well. When she summed up my symptoms and tried to diagnose me, she didn’t include a few symptoms that I told her I had (one being shortness of breath). It’s unfortunate because her staff were very nice: her receptionists and nurses. But since in this clinic, they stick things down your: throat, stomach and butt, you should be somewhere you can feel comfortable and not with a doctor who loses her cool. P.S. I saw her an hour and a half after my appointment time. They told me somebody had to bring me home so my husband had to take off work and we rented a car. It sucks having to wait when you are weak, fasting, and when you are paying for your car by the hour.

Dr Shapira saved my life as well. I went in with a GI issue that turned out to be nothing, but to be sure she recommended a procedure that found early indications of disease that can now be managed and prevented. I go to the Doctor for answers and advice and appreciate when they are efficient and direct. Dr Shapira's expertise, professionalism and willingness to answer my questions and offer me explanations that I found easy to understand give me a lot of confidence that the care I'm receiving to enhance my health is complete, accurate and effective.

Did not see the above doctor but another one. The service was lousy. When asked where the washroom was the secretary pointed and said "over there". I had no idea where "over there" was so I had to return and ask again for more specific directions. The washroom was not even in the doctors' office despite the fact that colonoscopy patients have to go to the washroom immediately and frequently. The washroom was located way down the hall and the patient who is defacating hmself to death has to first obtain a key from the office secretary before leaving the premises to find the elusive washroom!!!! Talk about Gestapo procedures! Then you get to wait about an hour past your appointment to have your procedure- long enough for you to defacate in your pants or faint whichever comes first or both!

in a hurry like she's gonna miss her flight though she spent a much longer time with the previous male patient and was all smiley with him. She refused to listen to what i had to say, asked me a million question a mn listening (or not) to the first word only, made fun of me when i said i might have collitis, and as i was leaving she ordered, leave the door open, no eye contact, during the time i was in the clinic, refused to listen to anything beyond her questions, and she registered the wrong answers too upon which she asked other questions . Totally unqualified! Who can trust her with an endoscopy?
