Dr. Showraki trained at CAMH and when I first met him and told my story he showed genuine concern and empathy. I saw Dr. Showraki between 1998-2004 for depression and CBT and have given him only praise. I will often quote something from him based on the ah-ha moments I experienced.

Dr. Showraki saved my life. It's really too bad that others who rated him on this site did not have a similar experience. Dr. Showraki is kind, knowledgeable, and has been very effective in helping me out of a terrible black hole.

Ray

I am a family physician and he saved our lives after diagnosing and treating our son, several years ago with ADHD. He is very knowledgable and perhaps the most expert on ADHD in the world. He has a revolutionary view after treating many such patients and his extensive research that is all documented in his book "ADHD:Revisited" available on Amazon and also his website "adhdrevisited.com" He is also very knowledgable with revolutionary views on different topics and illnesses in medicine so that his medicine website "medicinereviisted.com" is well visited worldwide. He is the head of community psychiatrist association of Toronto and a lecturer at University of Toronto. He is a reviewer of medical books and journal and has reviewed "Oxford textbook of Psychiatry" and "the handbook of depression". He has been trained in cognitive therapy or CBT by Dr. Aaron Beck, the founder of this therapy himself in Philadelphia. I, like hundreds of my family physicians in GTA have sent many patients to him and all have gotten better in a short time and his patients rarely end up in hospitals, or else. He is very respectable among colleagues and delivers lectures ver frequently. I know that he only accepts OHIP card or if someone has no health cards such as new refugees, they have to pay equivalent of what ontario health pays and that could be the reason of some of the mean comments about him on this site!
