I have seen this doctor on a few different occasions in Collingwood emerg. I went in after suffering a sports injury to my foot, where I suspected it was broken. He told me it was not broken, I had to "suck it up and get some Advil". 4 weeks later after limping around I went back to my doctor, where I was sent for a bone scan and I had a fracture and ended up in a cast for 6 weeks. I was in emerg suffering from Mastisits. It was quite busy and he took me into the nursing station - in the centre of the department that is visible by all - and told me to lift up my shirt. Another Dr. came over immediately and took me to another room, saying he preferred discretion. And finally, I arrived in terrible pain in my back, suspected dislocated rib. He told me to see a chiropractor and decided to give me injections of local anesthetic in my back, to help with the pain. He began to poke me numerous times as I was hunched over. I had a sudden searing pain, and began to choke - the taste that I was coughing was very bitter. The nurses went and got him, and he told me that it was impossible that he punctured my lung. He then said that I needed to "calm down, take my little coach purse and go home" The next day I went to the chiropractor, and he told me to see my doctor to get a referral for an xray to check my lung. The day after my xray (and I was still coughing), they called to tell me that there was in fact a puncture in my lung. I had to go back to the hospital, where he waited to see me to use an ultrasound to measure me to see how he could have done that. All he had to say was, people make mistakes and I need to put some meat on my bones. He was very dismissive, and never once said he was sorry. I will never let him treat me or anyone in my family again. I have had wonderful experiences with all of the other staff at Collingwood emerg, but I will go somewhere else if he is the doctor on call.

I am thankful Dr. di Stefano attended to me at the ER in Collingwood. I was in major pain!! I did not wait long to be seen and diagnosed with a fractured proximal humerus. He also ref'd me to an excellent orthopedic surgeon in TO...thanks doc!!

I saw this Doc. last night. I was in a lot of pain and he was prompt to deal with it. He gave no bullshit and no un-necessary testing. I was very happy with my treatment. wish he worked closer to where I live!

Had been in excruciating pain from a toothache and dental abscess since Friday evening. On Sunday morning arrived at the ER, almost in tears from the pain that extended up the side of my face and head. Immediately provided me with a very strong anti-inflammatory via IV and gave me script for pain relief until infection cleared and dental procedure could be done. I am so grateful for his compassion and quick assessment of situation. Nothing but kudos for this doctor.

This doctor was rude and treated me and my 17 year old daughter like we where stupid and we where a total waste of his time. We sat for two hours because we thought my daughters health was important and he basically told us we should know better and not bother him with our trivial issue. I will never see him again and I will drive to Owen sound emerge before I every let him see anyone of my children or family members. I have lived in Markdale for 12 years and made frequent trips to emerge and I have received nothing but good treatment from all the nurses and doctors there. I am truly disgusted at how I was treated. I will be passing on my experience to anyone who will listen.
