Dr. Mcllwrick is not very warm nor does she have a heart. She acts as though she is more superior than her patient and she is extremely arrogant. I found her to lack sensitivity towards my issues and though she is knowledgeable, she does not know how to apply it to her patients. In my case, I found she did far more harm than good. My mother made me go to her but I will never go to her again. She is extremely ineffectiveness despite her "credentials". Sometimes people look better on paper than in reality.

I found that she was very cold and disconnected when treating me. I was distraught and I felt she had a very poor bedside manner. It felt as if I had received the fast food version of treatment and I don't feel she was listening to me. I felt completely judged and not too good about myself whenever I saw her. She may beable to prescribe meds but I am not convinced she is a good counsellor and she certainly did not try to hide it. She seemed to care more about the way she looked than her patient. I was left extremely disappointed and heartbroken that an expert made me feel like a nobody. I felt she lacked compassion and very robotic. i would not recommend her at all. I found her treatment more detrimental to me and likely should not have gone to see her.

This doctor does not do a very good job of taking into consideration the needs of her patients well being that extend outside of the administration of medicine. She shows lack of any kind of concern for her patients needs, and does not listen well to their concerns. She tends to follow what she believes is best without what appears to be almost any consideration for what the individuals own answers to her questions are. She also appears to portray a somewhat calculated and cold demeanour at times. I would not recommend this doctor to other patients.

I have begun the complaints process with the Alberta College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta concerning what I believe to be a biased Independent Examination performed by Dr. Joann Mundin. I urge others who feel they've experienced the same bias to file a complaint. The Patient Advocates at CPSA are excellent and will guide you in the process. The following is the link: www.cpsa.ca/complaints/ I emphasize that my claims are alleged at this point. I intend to do everything in my power to prove them. I believe in fighting for what is right for the good of all future accident victims.
