Disappointed

I was rather disappointed during my appt. with Dr. Peck. He appeared to be knowledgeable, he was on time, and he had a comfortable approach. However, he was rather restless, yawning, and looked often at his watch. After a mere hour of trying to explain my life history he pretty much told me I was fine and I left feeling empty, vulnerable, and stupid. I think it's important for him to be aware that when people are coming to him for his services with a problem, especially in the world of psychiatry, he needs to be more sensitive to the mental space of the patient. He helped me - in no way at all. I don't think he's a terrible doctor - but he certainly made me feel like a # and an appt to finish before he could eat his late lunch or take a nap. Maybe I just caught him on an off day/moment. But these are my thoughts after seeing him.
