In 2009, I had a high-risk pregnancy due to fibroids, so a D & C had to be performed. I was scared, but the hospital nurses made sure I was comfortable and well taken care of. It took no thought, 6 years later, knowing I had to have fibroid surgery performed by Dr. Michele Farrugia and her exceptional team at Mt. Sinai Hospital. It is a warm, welcoming, professional, clean environment and I cannot speak enough about everyone (race) being equally treated. From the moment you enter, security, those who check you in (lower and upper levels), those who help you get lockers, even those who give the two pills while waiting with your surgery outfit on are all exceptional in every aspect. I have NEVER seen care like this and I am proud to know the hospital hired the best employees. The moment I went to the operating room, Dr. Michele Farrugia and her exceptional team acknowledged me and assured everything would go well. I was impressed by the lights, instruments, how clean the room was and most of all, the surgical team and how at ease and cared for they all made me feel. Dr. Farrugia even gave me a joke because I'm sure she knew it was all mind-blowing to me. After a successful surgery, the after-care nurses all made sure I was well-taken care of, constantly checking on me and the other patients in the room. The cleaners, people who emptied the garbage bins and the kitchen staff including those who brought meals all displayed professionalism levels like no other. Family who visited were as equally as impressed as I was. The nurses on the 14th. floor are exceptional and that's why I had taken thank-you cards from the beginning, because I had that much faith in the hospital and those who work there. I LOVE THE HOSPITAL and ALL THE STAFF. I AM and WILL BE FOREVER GRATEFUL. Thank you so much!

I've had nothing but fantastic experiences in the actual hospital. It's always been clean, the staff as a whole are very friendly and helpful, and it's a nice atmosphere to be in.
