This woman kept interrupting my answers and cutting my share of concern - very disrespectful behavior. How can the community allow this apathetic "doctor" from practicing medicine? A few minutes into the session and I already felt judged because of my habits and interests. She didn't manage to keep track of the time and blamed it on me. Her interrogative methods felt very discomforting to the point where I still felt mentally exhausted days after my session. She hurt my feelings and self-esteem so much that it drove me to quit Concordia University. Never again.

I saw Dr. Ritchie at my school where she practises. She started of by asking me questions (for my particular condition) that you can pretty much google. After a few preliminary questions, I felt very judged and uncomfortable. Inspite of noticing this Dr.Ritchie continued to aggravate me by focusing on questions that weren't totally related and presenting judgemental comebacks to my answers. She made clear visual judgemental expressions that drove me to heights of uncomfortableness and i was no longer able to answer any questions she had after and i had to take her leave. Before visiting her i was exited to see her based on the previous review. I thought i'd share my honest experience with everyone. I'm definitely not going back to her again. As for the Reliability rating, there is no problem with time as she is always present in the clinic for appointment but i did not see an honest service because i went to see the psychiatrist to seek help for my problem but she just made me go into a massive depression where i blamed my self for everything and thats why i do not think she deserves a single star for anything.

I agree with the bad reviews. She does do all the things that other people have mentioned and they have made me feel terrible as well. BUT with the distance I see that Dr. Ritchie has helped me. I was depressed, feeling sorry for myself, and blaming everybody else for my problems. Meeting with her was like a kick in the butt. The meds helped a lot, along with psychotherapy. Months later I saw her for a follow up; by then my depression had lifted and she seemed genuinely happy for me. I like to believe, at least for my own peace of mind, that she's brusque with her patients because she cares.

My opinion about Dr Ritchie is that she wants to prove to you that she's the smarter one. She has a beguiling authorial smile. At least that's how it felt like. I agree with one of the other reviews where it said that she makes you uncomfortable. She's not a good listener and will literally interrupt you to say that she "doesn't want to know" and that she'd much rather receive yes or no as an answer. She then asks me to explain things to her but cuts me to say that she doesn't want to know about the details in a brute way. She's also very judgmental and sends you back stabbing comments. She indirectly told me that she doesn't want me as a patient and to go find another doctor because I couldn't answer her questions the way she wants. That tells me that she's not willing to offer minimal help nor to try understanding me. From my experience, she showed me that she's doing the exact opposite of medicine, to do harm. She was also about 5-8 minutes late but I didn't mind that. This was an honest review.
