A lady in Severe Pain
When I saw him I was very sore with adominal pain. When he entered the office he slapped me on the back and asked how he could help (It hurt). He told me he wouldn't take out my gallbladder because that couldn't possibly be the cause of my severe pain, because the MRI didn't show stones. I had been passing out from pain and was in agony (for 19 months). The refering Dr was positive it was my gallbladder. Dr Nixon just shook his head and said "I don't think it's your gallbladder". He offered no plan, or explaination, but said to come see him again in 2 months. He seemed more interested in impressing his medical students then helping me. I went to another surgeon who promptly took out my gallbladder - it was inflammed, had adhesions, and chronic disease according to the post op report. (but no stones). My pain is now gone - no thatnks to Dr Nixon. Dr Nixon wouldn't believe a gallbladder without stones could be diseased. That seems like a amateur diagnosis to me (and to my other surgeon). I would never go back to Dr Nixon. It was a very unpleasant experience.
