at the beginning of learning arc - his expertise is in schizophrenia not anxiety. Having it does not make you qualified to treat it. cancels appointments frequently. If you only see him once a month it can be months before you see him and given his shoddy treatment, why bother? Has no concept of how he affects others. Definitely signs of Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Once seen starting to eat his lunch at the very time my appointment was scheduled for. Maintains he does not read e-mails so if a client is in crisis (let us say a near death experience) they are SOL. Can be condescending one minute, charming the next. Always manipulative. Unable to take responsibility for mistakes much less atone for them. Has secretarial staff wrapped around his finger to do his bidding, even when most inappropriate. ie Having them call him in order to get him out of the office on a false pretense. Created the very dynamic I was there to be treated for. Rather counter productive. Now will require a new therapist to undo the damage-only problem is there are none taking new patients in my city. Hinted I would fall apart if he terminated me. LOL! Almost fell out of the chair when he brought this up.! Which was not out of concern for me.) Perhaps a 'mess' he would have to ignore. In short his patients don't seem to matter to him. Completely lacking in empathy. So yes the Doc gets a low grade.

Christopher

I met with Dr. Christopher Eaton today. My views of him differ considerably from the remarks posted. He's resourceful and does know what he's speaking about. He asks numerous questions and deals with your responses to better talk with you about specific issues you're facing. I spoke with for an anxiety assessment and have a follow up appointment. He's educated and seems to know what he's talking about. He was late, but all doctor's are performing their job serving others, so I didn't mind. I felt extremely comfortable communicating with him and hope my follow up appointment operates just as smoothly like today's. Thank you Dr.Eaton I value your work.

I've met with Dr. Eaton twice through phone appointments and I'm very unimpressed. He was over 30mins late for our first appointment and prescribed me a new medication. After a week of taking it, the side effects were unbearable and I was dissociating so bad I wasn't able to function. I called his office for advice and was told by his secretary he would call back. He never did. I stopped the medication of my own accord and didn't hear from him until our next appointment a month later. At the second appointment he was again late and prescribed a different medication. Overall, this med has worked for me but I have had to go to the ER twice within 2 weeks because he never warned me that it could interact with caffeine, and I had a horrible reaction. Neither time did the ER doctor say it could be caffeine, I just looked up interactions online and found that there is a "serious" interaction b/w caffeine and my meds. I also attempted to increase my dose according to his instruction and had a negative reaction but decided to wait until our next appointment to speak to him about it, considering it was only a few days away. My third appointment was supposed to be on the 30th, but he cancelled via online notification. When I called to reschedule, I was told he went on vacation for a month and I won't be able to speak to him again until almost 2 months after my original appointment date. Absolutely ridiculous lack of communication. Find a different doctor if you can.
