Dr. Calvin Kai-Yiu Cheng claimed he did not believe my husband couldn't walk following a car accident. He was rude, biased, discriminatory and judgmental. Attitudes which cost my husband a prompt and accurate diagnosis of the extent of his injuries. This man has no business in a hospital emergency setting. By the way Mr. Cheng... an excellent neurosurgeon at St. Mikes confirmed the traumatic severity of my husband's injuries and performed a ACD&F within 2 days of assessing him. Do you even know what that is??

He never listens and it's obvious he is pompous, presumptuous, and patronising. This Doctor, after several visits, has made it abundantly clear that he has an opinion that transcends all patient input despite the fact that he does not live with the dementia patient and does not know enough to presume as such. He has prescribed round after round of antipsychotics and each time it takes anothe piece of my grandmother. From Quetiapine which turns her violent to haloperidol and aripiprazole that turns her into a drooling fainting mess which caused her a fracture in one of her ribs--this doctor is a careless fool who thinks he is above listening to concerned family members who have no reason to fabricate stories. We just want her to live out her final years in peace and without tragedy that will traumatise us all. His latest round of antipsychotic prescriptions is risperidone and clozapine. What she needs is something to help with her anxiety.

Calvin Cheng is a no nonsense guy that tells you straight forwardly and frankly about his diagnosis, prognosis, and got his staff to give me and my family more information, even when he is too busy with other patients (as so many doctor are) to explain concepts multiple times, which can sometimes be needed, especially for my older family members. I have nothing but positive things to say about his intelligence, efficiency, and professionalism.
