This clinical has made significant improvements with everything and when the new hospital opens it is going to be 100% state of the art. I cant wait.

The Psychiatric Services unit at Humber is housed in a temporary facility which is completly isolated from the main Hospital campus. It looks and feels more like a jail. Agressive patients are housed with Trauma and Mood disorders clients. It was very frightening. Staff were cordial and acted professionally but provided little information and no emotional support. There was little or no programming for in patients. The department seemed to have no relationship external aencies and could not help with transition to community based agencies upon discharge. If I had known all this I would have gone elsewhere.

Outstanding patient manner- easy to talk to . I trust Dr. Sirman implicitly. Has unique ability to put things in perspective. Has made a very stressful and upsetting family situation easier to deal with. Saved me from severe depression
