admittedly not the best bedside manner, so to speak, but she was right on the money. So many other doctors had read my charts and did not see the patterns that she saw from childhood. Referred me to Dr. Hayward in Hamilton, and they formally diagnosed me. Had I gone forward with my surgery when I wanted to, I could have bled out. Behind her somewhat gruff manner is a wealth of knowledge, sharp instinct and she DID care enough to go against other doctors to cancel my surgery. I'd recommend her to anybody.

Very bad bedside manner! She didn't like when I refused treatments that she was pushing on me. I tried to explain why I was not comfortable with treatments and got yelled at and asked 'why I was even coming to see her if I wasn't going to do what she said'. Told me that other doctors that I had gotten information from (other hemotologists) were wrong in what they told me. Didn't take the time to find out what I wanted, what I was comfortable with and didn't try to work with me to discuss what options I had available to me, what she thought would work best and why. Maybe she's not used to having to explain reasoning behind treatment to her other patients but I NEED to know.
