I found him very helpful and concerned about my condition. He went to great lengths to get me the service I needed. He also did a very efficient surgery on me a fact that has been verified by a specialist in a different province upon seeing the X-ray of the site. Ii am having a good recovery because of his work. I thank Dr. Manolescu sincerely.

I'm 80 years old. Dr. Manolescu performed major surgery on my spine Dec. 1, 2021, and I'm extremely appreciative and thankful he did. By the time of my surgery date I was very close to being bed-ridden. I could still drive my car by hobbling the approx. 50 steps to our underground garage. But, definitely no physical labor whatsoever, no outside walks, no swimming---basically a couch potato! Now, close to 15 months later I can walk for blocks (and even run, up to 6 blocks) and swim, doing 50 lengths yesterday. That isn't necessarily a lot, but considering my pre-surgery condition, what Dr. Manolescu did for me is an absolute miracle. I now know this; if you do your part to help yourself recover from pending surgery---get into as good physical condition as possible including maybe losing some weight, reduce or stop smoking and/booze consumption and be prepared to do whatever Dr. Manolescu suggests following surgery. You do your part and he will certainly do his. He is a wonderful doctor.

I had a L5/S1 fusion by Dr. M in 2019. He completely messed it up leaving metal in the wrong spot on a very sensitive part of my spinal cord. I woke up disabled and much worse than I went in. He dismissed my symptoms and concerns for over a year. I got a second option (which I had to pay for privately ) which resulted in a revision surgery to correct Dr. M's mistakes. I likely need another to further fix his second mistake at a different level. That's right, he made two mistakes in one surgery. What a nightmare. Stay away from this surgeon.

Trying to take a balanced approach to this review. I will start with the bad: First and most important is the fact that Andrei COMPLETELY BOTCHED my surgery in 2019. He made three mistakes during my surgery that left me partially disabled, likely for life. It took TWO revision surgeries to fix the mistakes he made. Of course I got a different surgeon to make those revisions. Second: Andrei selectively uses information for his reports. I won't go as far a lying, but he sure does not include information that might indicate he made errors. Even years later, after sharing the errors in his surgery he does not admit error. The Good: 1) He does take his time with you. There is no rush when you meet with him. He appears to be concerned and caring to his patients BEFORE surgery. God help you if something goes wrong. Best drive to Calgary to get a second opinion or BETTER YET, just avoid this guy entirely. There are WAY BETTER doctors out there to get proper treatment from.
