I have had serious back pain for many years and also suffered from undiagnosed scoliosis. I met with Dr Chevalier several times to review CT Scans and MRI's. Dr Chevalier was very interested in how my back pain affected my life style and discussed various options that were available. As a result of discussions and review of the MRI Dr Chevalier felt that a laminectomy would provide the best solution. The surgery was performed in April of 2013 and I am very pleased with the result. My quality of life has improved and I am able to do things that were very limited to me prior to surgery. Dr Chevalier is very knowledgeable, concerned and caring! I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Wow I’ve never had a doctor take so much time to get to know you in order to help you better! He was soft spoken, very kind, and took his time explaining everything to me, never once rushed me or made me feel uncomfortable. I wish more doctors were like him!! Thank you DR Elizabeth S

Dr. Chevalier successfully performed a surgery on my mom. I'm grateful for that, but his bedside manner left a lot to be desired. During our initial appointment with him, he was dismissive of our questions and concerns. He gave us a very grim and pessimistic prognosis, while other doctors have told us that the situation isn't as bad as he made it out to be. After the surgery, he rushed my mom out of the hospital without any prior warning. He told her that they needed the bed and that there was no medical reason for her to be there, despite the fact that she needs 24/7 care. He scoffed and laughed at her questions, and was generally dismissive towards her. She set up home support for the next week, because that's when she was told that she would be going home. Today, she was suddenly getting her drains removed and being urged to pack up her stuff and leave. I guess his 3 week vacation takes precedence over providing good care to his patients.
