The absolute worst doctor. He diagnosed me with psychosis two years ago, without previously meeting me. The diagnoses was based off third hand information passed to him over the phone. On top of that, the person who started the chain of false information admitted that everything was a lie made during an emotional outburst. When Dr. Pityk told me of the diagnoses, I realized how this false diagnoses would devastate my future career plans. I offered him police reports to show that the information he believed to be true was not correct. He specifically told me that he did not need them. Not only did he refuse to accept the police reports, but when I calmy contested him in front of his staff, he got angry and emotional and said he would pull my license. I then followed up by getting second, third, and fourth opinions to try and get my license back, and get this smudge off my record. Never once did an other doctor think there was anything wrong with my mental state. His notes, in fact, are directly and irrefutably contradicted by the other doctors and nurses. I have these notes, if anyone cares to see them. It took me six months to get my license back, and although I am not a psychotic, I can never truthfully say on an application that I was not previously diagnosed with psychosis. The damage is done. I have tried fighting this legally, but have but met with legal teams and a brick wall at the Monfort hospital. I do not have the money to fight their legal team, despite their incompetence, and naturally, he is offered a level of systematic protection. If you encounter this man, do yourself a favour and RUN! There was another doctor at the Monfort hospital who was helping me, and stated, truthfully, that he did not find me to be psychotic. Unfortunately, but perhaps not coincidentally, this doctor is now gone from the hospital and doctor Pityk remains. Again, I have out together a case file showing all of the above, if there is anyone who does not believe me, or cares to see it. Do not let you or your family fall victim to this pitiful man's ego. A terrible doctor, but an even worse human being.

Dr. Pityk is an excellent psychiatrist with the right balance of professionalism and kindness. This doctor, as my primary psychiatrist at the Montfort inpatient unit, helped me to understand for the first time in my life, that the major depression and anxiety disorder was being precipitated by another separate disorder involving perfectionism, idealism etc. With this knowledge, I will work with a psychotherapist while I continue the medication that is working well, in order to implement healthy changes and behaviours, to achieve my goals. I have hope and feel better for the first time in many years. Thank you Dr. Pityk!
