Dr. Marie-Eve Lebel needs instruction on professional conduct and bedside manner. I feel having her as my surgeon has been the worst medical decision of my life. I would avoid this doctor at all costs.

I was seen for a tendon tear in my shoulder. Dr Lebel saw me in a timely fashion, explained everything very well and I ended up having surgery within 1 month of seeing her. That was great timing! I am now back to normal life and I love it! I truly recommend her. Great personality and excellent knowledge.

She was rude and almost hostile when speaking with me and totally clueless. She was fixated on one small part of my problem and completely ignored the other, more compelling issues. As a result, her diagnosis was completely off base and her recommendations, if implemented, would result in serious harm. The visit was akin to the fire department coming out to a burning house, putting out the fire in the bathroom, then instructing the home owner on how to remodel that room while the fire still blazed in the rest of the building. Very scary indeed. I was not impressed at all with this woman, who it seems, not only needs to attend a few classes on professionalism, but in my opinion should be returning to medical school for a serious "do over". She's likely one of the reasons the state of our health care system is in the poor shape it is. Worst doctor I've ever encountered in my life. Avoid her at all costs.

I have only positive words for Dr Lebel. She is intelligent, personable, explains all procedures and after surgery she showed colored pictures that were taken inside my shoulder during the procedure. I first had surgery on a massive torn rotator cuff in left shoulder. I had been waiting forever for a local surgeon and then decided to try St Josephs in London. Dr Lebel had a cancellation and operated on me the following day. It was a difficult surgery for her but she performed miracles. Within 6 months of the first surgery,I had my right rotator cuff operated on. This surgery took place only 2 weeks after my consult with her. Both shoulders healed perfectly and I am totally pain free and have full range of motion on both sides. The staff at St Josephs hospital are amazing and everything runs so smoothly there. My physio is seriously impressed and amazed at my fast progress. She is the best....and I am so grateful. Thanks Dr Lebel!!!
