Dr.Shapir is a skilled, compassionate and well-focused mental healthcare provider. She has helped me immensely and I recommend to anyone who needs a good psychiatrist, to make an appointment to see her. Her experience, training and natural wisdom makes for a phenomenally helpful combination.

I would urge anyone looking for a serious, unbiased and reliable psychiatric advice NOT to see this doctor. She has the predisposition to pre-judge and to certain extent discriminate you based mainly on race. There are many other doctors in town (i know most of the good ones are working down the border) but there are still those who offer good service (usually those who like what they do above the money they will make). Good luck !

While providing services to a minor, she included incorrect and inaccurate information in her final report which led to the minor not receiving appropriate level care for mental health issues.

I had an awful experience with this Doctor. Besides the fact that she was Always late, - when she didn't just cancel (which was often), - she would give inconsistent advice from session to session, contradicting what she had said and she was prone to lose her temper. This was a complete waste of time for me.

Awful experience. Waited a long time to get an appointment when I could have been on another waiting list. To quote another reviewer on another RYD website. "This doctor is BIZARRE." Her medical degree is from a marginal university. I sincerely wonder if it was from a correspondence course, I am not being sarcastic.
