Just came back from Brampton civic emergency. My sister woke up with excruciating pain today morning in her throat, chest and back. She blacked out. We had to call the ambulance. This doctor is the most terrible medical professional I have ever experienced. I come from a third world country so I must have seen worse, but no. Me, my mom and my sister were taken to the ATC (ambulance treatment centre) and he came in the room and said What can I do for you ? We exchanged shocked looks because of his tone. He kept on asking what is your concern ? We blankly looked at him. Our expressions should have said are you unable to see ? You are the doctor. You tell us what is our concern. She is obviously in pain and unable to talk or breath normally. He is rude. He is disrespectful. We are Indians so who knows maybe he is just racist. He said go to your family doctor. What is your concern. Tone of voice was very condescending. She had gotten in an accident more than a month back. To which he said, soooooo...? you have been having this problem already obviously. What have you been doing about it ? Take Tylenol. Go to the physio and family doctor. Why are you here today. What should I do for you. What do you expect of me ? What is your concern. Inconsiderate. No compassion. Not willing to help. Stood there shrugging. Stood there doing nothing just asking us these questions when she was brought in an ambulance with excruciating pain. And waited so long. We asked what if it happens again. How do we find out what it is. He just stood there asking what is your concern. We are not medical doctors. How do we know what the concern is.
