waiting patient

This doctor has the weirdest office hours ever. Be prepared to wait at the minimum 2 hours and have appointments at 11pm or after midnight. This might be suitable for some for sure, but many of us have real lives unlike doctor Piatek and we have families to look after. From the news: - By The Canadian Press Tuesday, October 5, 2010 ORILLIA, Ont. - Provincial police say a Mississauga, Ont., doctor is facing a charge of fraudulently billing to the Ontario Health Insurance Plan. Police say OHIP alleged a doctor had submitted billings for fees for services which were not rendered. The complaint was investigated by the provincial police anti-rackets health fraud investigation unit. Dariusz Piatek is charged with one count of fraud over $5,000. Piatek, 47, is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 8 in Brampton, Ont. - MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO-(CCNMatthews - May 17, 2005) A Mississauga man was fined $75,702 after being found guilty on eight counts of tax evasion in Ontario Court of Justice on May 16, 2005. Dr. Dariusz Piatek, owner of a general practice medical clinic called Medicina Dextra, failed to declare $465,274 on his 1997 and 1998 individual income tax returns. The fine represents 50% of the federal income tax that he tried to evade. Dr. Piatek claimed to have filed his 1997 and 1998 income tax returns and to have paid outstanding tax arrears owed for taxation year 1996 and 1999. However, a Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) investigation revealed that letters produced by Dr. Piatek, which had allegedly been sent to him by the CRA confirming receipt of payment and acknowledging tax returns filed, were fictitious.
