I saw Dr. Hoeschen through the Transition Services operating through Richmond General Hospital. I am a recovering addict of many years. I have had the opportunity of meeting wonderful sympathetic and non-judgmental individuals in this welcomed environment. I found him very helpful in his knowledge of all drugs and medications and those which are still on the shelves of many of the drugstores in British Columbia and Canada which are obtainable by no prescription. For instance, Tylenol Extra Strength pills for back pain, the "little blue pill", bought off the shelf, contains 500 mg. of acetominophen and 400 mg. of methacarbamol, a muscle relaxant. It is this muscle relaxant that lures back pain sufferers in to buying this product and this drug is extremely dangerous for all who take it. I also understand through Dr. Hoeschen's knowledge and his speaking with me that the off the shelf Robaxecet "the stick man" also contains this "deadly" drug. I would warn all that can read this that this is not acceptable to me. Please write to Dr. Hoeschen and let him know your experience so that you can perhaps help one other person's suffering. Cheap Costco pharmaceuticals are another topic altogether. These are just as dangerous and you are taking your life into your own hands if you purchase your doctor ordered prescriptions at Costco pharmacy. I would suggest that you write Transitions, 6th Floor, 8100 Granville St., Richmond B.C. as well as Dr. L. Hoeschen, Richmond Hospital, Dept. of Psychiatry, 7000 Westminster Highway, RICHMOND, B.C.
