Well known for his sound and accurate diagnosis, good judgement and on occasions conservative treatment. Many is the time he has taken timje for a chat with a patient prior to a procedure to alay fears and give comfort, or even just to put them at ease. Patients have travelled many miles for a consultation and surgery. Highly regarded by paients and colleagues alike, this kind man died in 2003
