The receptionist at Dr.Shime's office was not helpful at all. she sounded like she could not care about the patient. She called me back after I left messages several times. (this happened every time) and when she called back, she was very rude. It is too bad that she is there since Dr.Shime is great.

Dr Shime recommended a hysterectomy to completely reduce the chance of my fibroids returning. I told him that I felt it was a last resort. He then prescribed med's for me. The meds made me quite ill right from the begining. When I called his office, I was basically told that it was my problem since I had rejected the suggested hysterectomy. I asked Joy the receptionist to leave a msg for Dr Shime. I called again after a couple of days since my call had not been returned. Joy was very rude to me and fundamentally hung up. Fortunately, my referring doctor picked up where Dr Shime left off. I never did hear from his office.
