Precursor, I lost and have been trying to find another family doctor, preferably female. I have suffered from migraines almost all my 50 years off and now mostly on. I think its perimenopausal but the migraines have been almost everyday and worse than anything I've known, in some cases. I used to get up and wait in a loud, bright ER for some Demerol, to kick the migraine to the curb, instead of days in the dark. Now ER's will NOT give narcotics to anyone but cancer patients, says the sign on the wall. My clinic doctor won't even dispense Tylenol 3s. I am not a drug seeker, this is ridiculous. The small group of people who have made it impossible to get proper medications. I had a stomach condition and while I was waiting on surgery, I lived on Oxycodone, for over a year. Sometimes coming to the ER for an extra shot. This was pre the no narcotics ban.. When I was healed I no long needed or asked for heavy duty painkillers. Ty3, is NOT a hard drug. It would take a great number and liver damage would be more likely. This is ridiculous. I know my body better than an ER intern and it doesn't respond to ergot, maxalt or other forms of non codeine medication. This program is forcing me try marijuana for the first time in my life. I need relief from these daily and days of mind splitting pain. If marijuana will do it, because of your ridiculous fear of turning people in serious drug addicts its my next option. Those who come to you for help shouldn't already be treated like drug addicts. Savannagh Ryane
