this hospital not only can they not serve you in ENGLISH! but they had my mother in law wait 9 hours with a broken wrist and arm no food nothing to drink didn't offer to tell her where anything was no pain meds nothing to finally tell her that not only is her wrist broken but they don't do casts so they are putting a splint on her sending her home to be called by another hospital!!!!!!!!!!!

My mother who is 87 fell at home fractured her wrist which was quite evident. She was triaged. We arrived Sunday Aug.30 at 7 pm and left apx. 1am. When we left we were told there was no orthopaedic at the hospital and that the JGH would contact us with the app. The nurse did put on a sling no instructions given.She has an app. at JGH on Sept 8th.I think we should have been told that there was no orthopaedics at the hospital and we would have gone directly to one where there was orthopaedics. The nurse didn't tell us and neither did the doctor when he examined her.

I dont like this hospital because I rarely spea to someone who knows where I should go. I also once made an appointment over the phone and when I got to the hospitla on the day of the appointment the department i was going to was closed and the person i found there by chance checked and said the appointment was non existent. More recently I went there to make an appointment for an ultrasound because of the issues I have been having and nobody seemed to understand why i was having an ultrasound since I"m not pregnant. Finally after being sent to 2 different departments, I was told I would have to call the appointment centre. When I called I was transfered to three times and the last person I spoke to told me that they did not have the service that I was requesting. At this point Im inclined to think that this hospital has serious issues of incompitence or they are trying to disuade certain people from seeking services there.

The only good thing about the hospital is the staff in the ICU. Pretty sad that you have to go there to get good care. After 7 weeks, still no diagnosis. How many more times will we be told "je comprend pas". When a nurse is told someone is having trouble breathing they should be able to understand that in English. Absolutely no compassion from nurses, therapists on regular florr. Would not send any other family member there

Terrible experience. I was waiting in the emergency area due to abdominal pain so bad I could barely move. I could not find comfort in those terrible.yellow dirty chairs so I went and sat in a triage chair to which there was not one person sitting. A nurse came and told me I had to move. I told her my situation and in frustration she said again to move to the waiting chairs. I simply told her I was not moving since I was in so much pain. She called security. In no way was I belligerent or disrespectful. Instead I was almost in tears. Security came. I walked out and I dragged myself to my car and vomited along the way. I called my husband to chaperone my driving home.
