The couple of times I have been to the Emergency department I was greeted in a friendly professional manner.I was taken in a treated kindly and non judgemental mannor.I was there due to some nasy boils on a couple of strange body parts.. So I appreciate how kind they were with me. As I felt very disgusted with myself as Io didn't know what had caused this affliction. They were very knowledgeable with information. I felt much better with the situation upon leaving. Thank you so much for your care and attention. I would recommend them to anyone seeking medical attention

I have had cause to attend Eagle Ridge Hospital many times in the last six months. The first time I attended I was rushed to have a brain ct scan and the result showed a benign brain tumour. I was transferred very quickly to Royal Columbian. Subsequent to that I attended Ambulatory Care for Warfarin injections due to a DVT. I am now attending Ambulatory Care for antibiotics due to mastoiditis. I have found all staff to be very pleasant, courteous and professional. What more can we ask? I believe people who complain about this facility do so because they have not lived anywhere else and they have nothing to compare it to. I have lived in America and in UK. Believe me... this hospital is excellent and thank you to all staff who go above and beyond their call of duty.

I had surgery at Eagle Ridge on March 13th, I was discharged on the 14th. I returned to the Emergency department on the 17th with dehydration, they gave me fluids and doped me up, I also told them I hadn't had a BM in five days. Their response was SO! they advised me to go home and keep taking the antibiotic that made me so sick that, that is why I was there. I returned on the 19th, with again no BM, they still wouldn't help me. I went to my general doctor, who told me to go to Royal Columbian where they took a CAT scan and released me. I landed back at Eagle Ridge two days later in such bad shape I couldn't even sit up. It had been now over two weeks with no BM. They FINALLY admitted me and they started trying to help me.I now had uncontrollable shaking and unable to stand. I got a infection in my IV and was told they couldn't take it out because they might have to put another one in, I was being discharged the next day. I felt like they thought I was faaking and they didn't care about me at all.

I have been to this ER for about 5 times in past two years. Let’s just say, they should change its name to “Non-Emergency Room”. I have never waited less than 4 hours (that’s even when there are not many patients). I would be more understanding if the staff members at least seem like they are trying to do it efficiently as possible. I know in these type of situations they cannot “rush” things but sadly, every time I go to this ER and what I see is - what they are spending their time most is chitchatting between staff members! – They have more chitchatting time than any other offices I have ever worked for!! Small talk is important in the office I admit but too much is too much – especially when it comes to Emergency Room.. While I was taking an IV therapy in the treatment room, many of the staff members were talking about Starbucks Coffee’s buy-one-get-one free deal and started taking orders for people and two people left for getting coffee for everyone for more than half an hour? Is that their official break time? Normal offices like where I work at, we do not have that much of a freedom to go out for that long of a time to do your own errands topping your numerous free time of chatting with your staff members especially when it’s busy with people in need… Ethically I do not understand why they wouldn't feel bad doing so and keep making emergency-sick people wait? Do they think not all of them are in emergency situation? Is it because they do not have a fear of losing customers like other companies do even if they do not give satisfying service? Patients are getting these services for free anyways so patients shouldn't complain? What’s their mindset?? If that’s what makes differences, bring it on Eagle Ridge ER, give me the bill, I would be more than happy to pay for it if you let me then show me the better service.
