I have been a registered nurse for 44years, and thus have had a great deal of contact with a great number of physicians in that time frame. I also did personal healing work with Dr Nadine Nyhus. I would call that transforming, empowering, freeing, healing work. On both a professional level and a personal client level, i express FULL confidence in Dr Nyhus. Dr Nyhus is expert in her fleld, she has integrity and maintains high ethical standards. Her knowledge and skill base is vast and thorough. It is a challenging experience to address ones healing issues and one could not be in a better environment to do so, than to do this work with Dr. Nyhus. I recommend Dr. Nyhus highly.

Dr. Nyhus has great insight (which unlike many therapist) she is willing to share. Some of the comments appear, from an outsider, to come from individuals who did not wish to do the work required of change. I don't think it is helpful to take this out on the therapist. However, if you want to understand your problems and find a way through them to the other side you can't be in better hands than Dr. Nyhus. If that is not your intent you would be better off not wasting your time or her time. See someone else who doesn't care if you do the work.

Dr Nhyus is a very strong and opinionated therapist. Unfortunatley these traits don't always lead to an open and caring relationship between Dr and client. I clearly had a difficult time working with her, finding her very hard to communicate with. I am not the type to blindly follow what anyone says and she was clearly not happy having her authority challenged. I recall one specific moment when she angrily snapped at me "were you not just listening to a word I said?" Well I was Nhyus and when I am trying to repeat back to you what you have just said to try to make sense of it, you will just have to give me a moment to take in what you said. You might say the same thing several times a day, but I was just hearing it for the first time. Don't take your frustrations out on your clients, most of us need a calm and steady person to help us, snipping and snapping...probably not taught in pyshc 101.

Please do not be fooled by these “success” stories. Those who who work with this apparent doctor engage her perpetuating cycle of control and compliance to authority. It is clear Dr Nyhus projects immensely on her clients and is triggered by any disagreement. Any failure to comply is met with a clear disdain and belittling, as seen by many clients abusers. The cycle of abuse is continued by her display of control in therapy. Any humanly display of emotion in therapy is met with disdain and seen as weakness. Crying is a natural response to pain and trauma, and is therapeutic to work through. She has little patience if you do not understand concepts and will not hesitate to drop you as a client. It is clear that she needs to engage in her own personal triggers with a professional and should not be helping vulnerable people at this time. Furthermore, she holds many conservative Christian values which hinder her therapeutic practice and contributes to her viewpoint of feelings as a weakness. I highly suggest seeking services elsewhere as she needs you to please her power hungry behaviour more than you need her.
