Overall, I would say my experience here was not bad. However, I was very surprised on my first visit of how impersonal the interaction was. Given that this was my first pregnancy, it would have been nice to be able to talk to the doctors more or see only one. It's hard to build report with a doctor when you see a different one every visit. Since my pregnancy has been pretty smooth, I didn't really have any issues there. I also took prenatal classes so most of my questions were answered from that.

I'm reading some comments and it seems the ones with bad experiences are the ones pregnant or post pardon with raging hormones lol I had 2 kids at Credit Valley and had to see all the Dr's like everyone else and I didn't mind at all sure the wait is a bit long especially when your pregnant feels like forever but alot of specialist Dr's are a wait. I had Dr.Wade she was AMAZING the most personable Dr I've met, she did one of my c-sections too. I never felt rushed with her what so ever, she even did a bladder lift surgery on my Mom, all the other Dr's seemed fine to me except one and that's Dr.Gurland his bedside manner is brutal and he won't treat you the same if your over weight, I found out through someone that works there him and his wife are fitness freaks and he looks down on woman who have extra fat with their pregnancy he's gross, several people complain about him but I dunno why he hasn't changed but as far as I know he is a very good Dr with delivery and any Gyno surgerys that's it! So bottom line there's nothing wrong with the Dr's there, sure you have to wait a bit but this isn't your family Dr's office where waiting is short. Life is about waiting lol

My first Pregnancy experience was at this practice, although I did find the process odd and not as personal as it could have been if you look at the big picture, it's fine. You are dealing with some of the best OB/GYN doctors in the country in some cases. The bottom line is, if you have no issues (which is the case in most pregnancies), you can see anyone, anywhere and it doesn't matter, Pregnancy is a normal process that rarely requires intervention, you don't have some disease. The way I viewed this process...I only care if there's a problem...and if there was, there was a team of top notch doctors to review your case and a great facility to handle most issues. I ended up delivering with 1 of the 2 doctors I had never seen and his intern did the delivery anyway. I'm not a touchy feely person, I don't need a lot of encouragement or have many questions, so this worked for me, I suggest you sign up for classes if you have loads of questions or it's your first child and you should consider Mid-wifery, which is much more personal care. I'm expecting my second and will return to this practice...what I found...early morning appointments work perfect, having a team allowed you more flexibility with appointments as well. I'm a professional and the appts are just to check your progress, the faster the better. If there is an issue I'm confident this team will act appropriately and with stead, I would love to see a review from someone who had an issue with their pregnancy since that is the time you need these specialists. There is definitely a wide spread issue with medical office receptionists, it's not just this office.

The obstetricians and nurses are, in general, good. My visits with each of them (Tigert, Kanee, Corbey, Gurland, Wade) were, however, pretty short. I felt the most rushed with Gurland. He spoke at a mile a minute, interrupted me constantly when I tried to ask questions (constantly jumping ahead assuming he knew my question before I even had the chance to speak) and in general didn't have very good bedside manner. Dr. Tigert was by far the friendliest and most accommodating with questions and concerns. The problem with this facility is that they triple/quadruple book patients for the same time slot. Their time is clearly more important than their patients'. So, a 2 minute appointment will require a wait time of at least 45min - 1 hour. The front desk staff (i.e, receptionists) tend to act, in the words of one of the OBs, 'like czars'. One in particular, Debbie (fake blonde with tons of makeup) is particularly nasty. I would say try to avoid her, but unfortunately, it's not like you have a choice if your appointment falls on the day that she's working. So, when she does act nasty, which will invariably happen, best thing is to ask one of the nurses to intervene and get whatever form or questioned answered on your behalf rather than deal directly with her kind (the nasty kind, i.e.).

I have been dealing with this group of doctors since 2010 and I am currently a patient with baby #3. I have never had any problems with the office, staff and all doctors but one have been fantastic. Always listen and take the time. I know the group doctor setting may not be for everyone but for me it's been a wonderful experience each and every time I have been a patient there.
