I Love going to my appointments, because they make me feel at home. Dr. Ridgeway is the best doctor I've had in years. She may look very young but she has all the answers of all questions & she know what she is talking about. The infirmary knows how to work with you and make you feel comfortable. This is my first child & for the next ones, FOR SURE I will call back at the Centre de santé pour femmes Gaia! Best regards, Isabelle

It took a few months to get an appointment with gynecologist Dr. Nathalie Gamache (referral from GP is required, obviously), but it was well worth the wait. Dr. Gamache is the best doctor I have ever met in my 60+ years of life; she knows what she is talking about; she listens well; she is reassuring and provides simple, practical solutions. She is welcoming, always in a great mood, shows empathy and is sincerely caring. She understands what menopausal women are going through and is truly focused on making life more enjoyable. Kudos to her!

The Gaia center is just down the street from me so I thought it would be a good center to go to for things like a pap smear and fertility guidance. My initial appointment was good. I asked how I go about seeing the doctor for fertility guidance. I was told I would need a referral. I went to a walk in clinic on the Ontario side to get a referral. I waited a month and heard nothing so I called the Gaia center to see if they had received the referral. They said they hadn't. So I called the walk-in clinic (they said they had already faxed it) and had it faxed over again. This time I called the office and left a message again and someone from the office called me back to set up an appointment. I made an appointment for the 5th of February but because of the nature of my work I had to call and cancel the appointment. I left a message on the appropriate extension that I would not be able to make the appointment. I received a call yesterday (February 18th) with the results from my pap. I inquired about rescheduling a fertility appointment when the lady who was speaking to me who identified herself as "Melanie" continued to speak to me in a condescending tone and basically told me I was lying about calling and cancelling my appointment. I would be the first one to admit if I were in the wrong and missed an appointment. In this case, I was completely offended at being told I was lying and I would have to pay a $100 fee for not showing up if I still wanted an appointment in 2 months time. Aside from the hostile condescending way in which "Melanie" spoke to me on the phone I find the Gaia center to be extremely unorganized. It takes alot of time and effort for one to seek out a referral and on top of this making several phone calls to see if the center has received the files, finally scheduling an appointment, and being responsible to call and cancel due to inevitably career obligations. Obviously will not be back.
