Visited this building first in 1975 and 30 years later building and staff older but still great..... friendly helpful staff.

My comments are directed to LifeLabs where I had a blood test in Oct. The staff was very unfriendly and abrupt. When the woman technician (tall, white, blonde) drew blood, I knew right away it wasn't good and it was very painful . Right after, she asked me to give a urine sample and didn't mention anything about holding my arm for a few minutes before doing it. In the washroom, my arm started dripping blood and I could see the gauze was getting soaked in blood. I've already started so I couldn't stop then. Afterwards, I find anyone to help me so I went to the ECG room because I had to have that test too and held my arm above my heart to stop the bleeding. When the same technician came to the room I showed her my arm and I could see she was shocked. She blamed me for not holding my arm so I told her I couldn't hold my arm and give a urine sample at the same time. Besides, she never told me to hold my arm. I had a bruise on my arm extending from the crease of my elbow up my upper arm and mid way down my forearm. I even have a picture to prove it. I get blood tests regularly from another lab and I've never experienced anything like this. Usually the technician will check my arm and ensure that it is fine before doing anything else. I thought I'd give this lab a try as it is closer to me. But never again will I come back here.

Very bad place, had a very bad experience with one of the technologist called Gaby S, at room #100, who was unprofessional, demeaning and rude and made it all personal, instead of business. Their manager Kuchi, complained to my doctor that I was nasty and York Radiology doesn't want my business there, after assuring me previously, that should I have any problem, I should get back to her, knowing that she will not be available for 1 month, as she was in holiday. I escaled the matter to the owner Dr Stoneman, who gave me the run around and finally called the College of Physicians, who said that they only deal with complaints about doctors and not their staff. If you will be mistreated and given the round around and bad attitude, remember that you are on your own and your only choice of recourse, will be to post and report their behaviour on the Internet, so that other people in similar situations will know what to do, or stop using their unprofessional facilities altogher. They are not worthy of your time or your OHIP card. Go to a different location than 1333 Sheppard Ave East, or even other labs, than theirs. Stop giving them your business, they do not deserve it.
