DND medical records

Richard Oliver Robinow gave my medical records to my unit and told my unit about my allegations. That did not go over well. He would not give me my medical records. I needed them to defend myself but it takes 3 months to get a copy. If you are hurt physically use the system to get help. If you have a psych problem, get out before they release you. They may throw you out. Robinow was laughing but after 15 years of service I don't think it's funny. I really thought that I was going to get help. But Robinow helped them give me the boot. Psych issues are better kept to yourself.

Dr. Robinow works for DND and without telling his patients that he participates in investigations. He does believe that lower rank pers are mercenaries. He would probably be a good doctor if he wasn't arrogant with his patients. That may cost him in the future as he may get tangled into unit politics. Units can use him to fire pers or to control information. And to see the pers private info. He is proof that doctors are powerful.

DND patient

Oliver is a contractor for DND and he does not work for the patient but for the employer. I found that out for myself when I was sent by my employer to see Dr. Robinow. It was supposed to be over stress issues but it was over legal matters. He was phishing for information. It may work on some kid but not on every adult. Legal cases are meant for the courts not doctors. However, doctors are powerful and their signature can make someone win or lose a case or claim benefits from insurance to EI. A doctor can help you or have a 3rd party get its way with you. It is dangerous to play with DND employees in such a way because lives are ruined. A doctor is supposed to save or cure people but some kill. This one believes that DND employees are nothing but mercenaries. Some are heroes. Oliver Robinow is proof that mental injuries are punisheable by society. Even if the employer is the cause.

Oliver Robinow is a mean spirited person. He laughed at my emotional pain and ridiculed me when I was in his presence. I would not recommend him as a physician.

I found most of these comments startling and disturbing. This is not the Oliver Robinow I know. I have not seen Dr. Robinow in years, but -- and this is not hyperbole -- I feel that he was largely responsible for turning my life around. After seeing many therapists, I was referred to Robinow, who almost immediately identified my condition as OCD -- a diagnosis that had been missed by a half-dozen others, many of whom I had seen for long periods. With this (correct) diagnosis, I was able to research my disorder and take steps towards greater mental health. He also helped me find an SSRI I could tolerate that also contributed greatly toward my moving toward health and happiness. Obviously everyone's experience is different, and I am totally unaware of his role with DND, but from my point of view he was bright, perceptive and helpful. I enjoyed his intellect and the way he constructively challenged me. This may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I am concerned that some of the bitter comments might keep people who could benefit from his knowledge and perceptiveness from engaging him.
