Usually a long wait, yes, but that is because he is such an excellent doctor that demand was always very high to see him. Dr. Willems is a rare find in the field of hepatology- caring, intelligent, honest, supportive and brilliant. I felt safe and informed under his care. Dr. Willems is unlike other hepatologists I have had the misfortune to encounter, before and since, who are only interested in using one as a guinea pig for their experimental treatments. If you refuse to comply, then they either drop or neglect you until you leave. I would consider returning to Montreal to have him as my hepatologist again.
