Mamma to Be

I have not yet even had my baby and I dread every time that I have to go to an apt with Dr. Maskens. The receptionist is always rude on the phone whenever I call to make an inquiry, and when I attend the office in person, twice she has been on the phone making personal calls and ignored me while standing at the desk waiting to check in or book another apt. I have stood there for 10 mins at times waiting to speak with her. As for Maskens himself, he is very cold, direct and always seems to be rushing every apt that I have. He is always running at least an hour behind at his office, and often times I will see him standing around chatting with co-workers drinking a Timmies while the waiting room is full or patients. On two occasions I have gotten calls from his office to change my apt dates and time due to him going on vacation. This time he is going on vacation for three weeks. The voice mail on his machine currently states that someone will be in contact with patients requiring apt in the time that he is gone to see a colleague of his. In this three week time period, no one will be at his office to answer the phone. On my one ultra sound the baby was moving around a lot and he was having difficulties getting it to sit in the right position. His solution was to get frustrated and start jabbing my belly to make the baby move. It was painful and even when I mentioned it he failed to be more gentle. On a note of cleanliness, the examination rooms are disgusting. Once I was put in a room where the paper on the table had yet to be changed and there was still gel all over the head of the ultrasound machine that is used inside the vagina. In one examination room where the paper for the exam tables are kept, the rolls of paper on left on the floor, not even in a box or anything, just sitting on the floor behind the door, covered in dust. I am currently searching for a new Dr. in Peterborough and I would not suggest him to anyone.
