Absolutely the worst doctor we have seen, bad attitude agree with the other poster, she just want to milk OHIP, once your health card is swiped that's all that matters she will probably spend less than a minute with you saying that is normal for everything doesn't even listen to all the symptoms. Any test result even normal has to be discussed in person, that means you have to go see her for 30 seconds to hear her say that everything is normal. Only one issue will be heard , even if it is related symptom, she does not even hear you out. I will forward this comment to Health ministry as well doctors like these should not be able to practice here.

The staff is almost useless - they don't seem to call back anytime they receive any reports from the clinics. They kept only partial reports and sent only partial of that to my wife gynecologist. Heck they even forgot to send my wife's urine to the lab and she found out that she needs to redo it after 2 weeks of waiting and being told that it was sent. You are here to pickup your report - swipe the health card - what the heck was that for?!? That's bilking the OHIP system. As for Kamawi, she is pretty much the most USELESS doctor I have come across. Spends two seconds with the patient before itching to show the door. For any prescription, as the other poster mentioned, she sends it to pharmacy at the location - why?!?!?! This has to be in some way conflict of interest, anyone? Heck when my wife was having some cough while being pregnant, she tells her "you shouldn't be coming to me - you are in your gynecologist care now". What the hell?!?! Gynec is supposed to look after the pregnancy, not general issues - that's what family doctors are for. Seriously I hope some government official checks her and her clinic's practices and take some actions.

Maria Aguiar

I had a meet-and-greet with Dr Kamawi and had confirmed to her that my family, my husband and I and 6 children, would like her to be our family doctor. We left her office assured that she has accepted us as her patients. So, my family conducted our affairs accordingly - when my son had an irregular heart beat and ended up in the hospital, we indicated to the hospital staff to send documents to Dr Kamawi. Same thing happened with my son who broke his leg and my daughter who has Type 2 diabetes. Imagine my surprise when about a year later I had an appointment with Dr Kamawi and as I showed up at the front desk, the receptionist told me, very rudely, "Why are you sending your X-rays and other things here? Don't do that anymore. We don't need them." I was dumbfounded. As I tried to explain that my family doctor is here, the lady got more aggravated, telling me that Dr Kamawi was never my family doctor and so on. I just left. I really couldn't believe that I've been treated with such disrespect in person; as well as, that they never called me to tell me that they are receiving my documents but they absolutely don't need them. I found their handling of the situation to be very unprofessional, very rude and uncaring. I will never step my foot in that office again. I don't need the aggravation. Another thing that I noticed was that Dr Kamawi has a pharmacy in the same office space as her office. Whenever she writes prescriptions, she doesn't give the prescriptions to her patient but sends it directly to her pharmacy. If the patient wants to take the prescription somewhere else, they have to ask for it. Wow! That's very unprofessional. My pharmacy is at Cosco which is much cheaper. It looks to me like Dr Kamawi is really pushing patients to use her pharmacy without much regard for patients wishes.

Caring Citizen

I just saw Dr. Kamawi today and I was very rudly dismissed and was told to go look for another family doctor. No, the staff didn't tell me this, the doctor told me this herself. Apparently according to her system, I was a "no show" for two physical appointments. When I tried explaining to her she simply didn't want to hear me out because she already took my file out of her directory and told me that she will no longer be my doctor. I didn't even know I had missed two appointments because I didn't even know I had two appointments in the first place. The first appointment I tried to schedule, her receptionist told me their computers were down and that they will call me to schedule one once the computer were back up. They never did. The second time I tried to make an appointment, it was booked, and a week before the appointment her receptionist calls me and tells me the doctor will be out of office that week and I need to reschedule, I never did because I was travelling outside of Canada for two months and didn't know when my next availability is. Im a young healthy female so I don't need to see the doctor often, which apparently is grounds for her dismissing me even though it wasn't me who cancelled the appointments and yet they put me as a "No show" in their system. This is absolutely disrespectful, rude and unacceptable behaviour. I will be looking for another family doctor gladly.
