I waited 4 hours in the waiting room before i was called into the clinic exam area. After sitting in this chair for another hour I started getting upset, so I started crying. To punish me for being upset, the doctor and nurses around me made me wait an additional 2 hours. All I needed was a prescription written. That's it. I knew what I needed before I got there. I asked nicely but everyone just put me off and ignored me. Then this doctor Amin walked around, avoiding eye contact, casually talking to nurses, chatting and making me wait longer, just to come over and say "yup, looks like you need a prescription". It took 20 seconds, but I waited for over 7 hours! Purely out of spite. Its really immature to purposefully make someone suffer longer just because they're alone and upset. Awful.

Crohn's Patient

I have Crohn's Disease, Saw this Doctor in emergency Department, while having an attack...Usual course of treatment is 3 bags saline, Morphine, Gravol....and Prednisone....Overnight stay....This doc sent me home after 3/4 of a bag of saline and some Gravol, afer an hour and a half of being admitted....Went home....Still in pain and vomiting all night, still can't keep anything down...Even nurses at Emerg, told him what the usual course of treatment was (as I was in there just 2 weeks prior) And he still sent me home! (Must add, that there was also a woman in Emerg at the same time, screaming in pain, saying he was the worst doctor EVER, and stated the she would be filing a formal complaint about him) My advice: If you go to Emerg and he is on call...Go home till his shift is OVER!!!

Dr zahir amin Gave me the worst medical help I've ever received yesterday. I went to the hospital where he was working in excruciating pain, my family doctor sent me there for X-rays, he thinks I might have tendinitis which is very painful. I got in quick to see Dr zahir amin, he was getting off in 5 minutes because the hospital was closing, and instead of helping me, he told me to go home and get physiotherapy or massage therapy. No xrays, no diagnosis, no pain relief and not even any good advice. He just wanted to go home because his shift was ending. I ended up having to go to the south Health campus where I got my X-rays, ultrasound and diagnosis. Dr zahir amin Could not have cared less about my condition. It's sad he's practicing medicine. Completely pathetic.

Urgent Care

He saw my husband at the Calgary South Health Center Emerge. Came in the room like he didnt want to come close to my husband, folded his arms, stood by the sink and said "What's up?" "What's the problem?" My husband stated his health problem and then he replied that there is nothing much he can do and that my husband's health concern is something that should be addressed by a family doc which we've already done 2 weeks prior to going to Urgent Care. He performed a rectal exam on my husband, opened my husband's bum and half way through examination forgot to bring something. He stood up and opened the door, still with his blue gloves, opened the door with the same gloves he touched on my husband's bum, and later came back with the same blue gloves. He then continued with the same gloves to perform rectal exam and did some smear on the packet then threw it away without saying anything. He then removed his gloves and performed abdominal assessment. After he was done he did not explaine to us any of what he did or what he found during his assessment. He told us to wait as he needed to check my husband's blood work which was done from the family doc's office then came back and said that my husband didnt have anemia. My husband had the bleeding from Dec 27 and the BW was done around end of dec. Its now second week of Jan and should have looked at the date of the BW. Anyway he dismissed us and said to go back to family doc. This part we may understand but his lack of human compassion and his inability to make us understand of his findings were really frustrating and heartbreaking. People go to Urgent Care because they feel they need to. No one wants to spend their time there unless its urgent or concerning. This doctor made us question if our concern was valid. We feel it was especially if my husband was pooping blood for 3 weeks already. We came at 0800 AM but we could already feel his lack of motivation in his job. When we came out, I saw more people waiting and probably will wait for the next couple of hours only to be met by such an unprofessional service from this doctor. Very sad.
