If I could give this man a zero rating I would. Tuesday night I went to the ER at BGH for the second time in 24 hours. I had severe chest snd arm pain. I had a mild heart attack and PCI in August and this felt the same. Mr. Koubaesh wanted to send me home with medication to mask the symptoms of unstable angina. He also suggested that I ditch my cardiologist and become his patient outside of BGH. I had to become very assertive and push hard for an angiogram in Hamilton. He arranged it but told me they would find nothing and that I was wasting people's time. Less than an hour before transport to Hamilton General he came to see me and reiterated his belief that they would not find anything. I returned to BGH that evening after having a stent to correct a 90% blockage in my right coronary artery. To top it off he did not have the courtesy to come see me for a follow up... he sent another doctor instead. The least he could have done was acknowledged his grievous error in judgement. Had I listened to his advice I would likely have had a heart attack and risked serious damage. Unbelievable! I will be following up by reporting this to the higher ups at the hospital as well as the governing authorities. This man is going to eventually cause someone's death... I'm just glad that I had listened to my body and was assertive enough to not let him push me into a preventable heart attack.
