Horrible ethics. Makes phone appointments with you then doesn't call. In fact she never did call. Thought she would the next day but it has been a month and still no call. Probably got paid for the phone appointment too. Bad doctor and worse person. I will never go back to her. She thinks her time is the only one with valuable time. To yourself a favor and just wait for a real doctor for surgery. There are many in Thunder Bay.

Dr.LeFrancois has been my orthopedic surgeon for 5 years now. Because of the type of break I had in my R.ankle, and the time that had passed between the accident and the referral from my family physician. about 3.5 years had passed. We went for a bone fusion to correct my problem. The surgery itself was as professional as you can get. However it was my bones that just would not fuse. She tried many different surgical procedures, She consulted with some of the oldtimers in orthopedic surgery in Thunder Bay to see if there was anything she may have missed. There was nothing she missed. Dr.LeFrancois and I had many discussions over this. She kept me informed all the way through. She told me (holding nothing back) what my options were. After all I had been through and the fact that we had tried everything possible, I asked her for an amputation. So we did the below knee amputation and now, two years later, I'm walking again with a prosthetic limb. I walk so well now ( pain free ) that if I'm wearing long pants, you would never know I was an amputee .I now live in Edmonton Ab and have been introduced to the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital. ( just in case down the road I have any issues.) When the orthopedic surgeon there did a quick once over, she said that rarely has she ever seen such good work by a surgeon in the amputation and closure. You'd be hard pressed to find the scar line. I have only good things to say about Dr.LeFrancois. She is a very knowledgeable surgeon. Her beside manor was excellent. She is very professional in the way she treated me. She made sure I was in the loop every step of the way. She never once cancelled an appointment or left me hanging. I felt very comfortable in her hands. In my opinion Thunder Bay is very lucky to have her there. I give her a perfect score in all categories !
