On Saturday, January 10, 2025, I visited Brampton Civic Hospital's Emergency Department with severe chest and abdominal pain. Despite the severity, I waited 6 hours for tests, including blood work, an X-ray, and an ultrasound. The doctor diagnosed me with constipation and gas buildup, gave me morphine, and sent me home. The pain persisted, accompanied by fever and chills. The next day, a walk-in clinic prescribed antibiotics and gas medication but didn’t resolve the issue. Two days later, the pain worsened, and I went to Credit Valley Hospital, where a CT scan revealed a perforated appendix causing severe infection. I now require a drain before surgery due to the risks. This misdiagnosis delayed treatment and worsened my condition. I do not recommend this doctor or hospital.
