Terrible experience with this old-school oncologist. He gave me the wrong prognosis (told me I had more than a 1 in 3 chance of dying in 5 years). I was devastated, as this was much worse than expected. I found out later it is actually closer to 1 in 7. He did not offer me the standard chemotherapy regime for my type of cancer. Luckily I had read up on my rare type of cancer and I knew what type of chemotherapy was most effective, and requested that.
