I was made an involuntary patient at the Abbey J. Lane Psychiatric Hospital in Halifax, Nova Scotia because I e-mailed the Nova Scotia Department of Justice to ask for a visable sidearm permit. I spent about 50 days there with one successful escape attempt. I escaped because I believed I had a heart condition and feared the medication the hospital wanted to put me on, paliperadone once monthly, would cause me to have a heart attack. I was caught about fourteen hours later. After I was released I was placed on a Community Treatment Order under the care of Dr. Tanya Pellow. After six months on the CTO Dr. Pellow decided to renew the CTO, or I should say the Psychiatric Review Board which consists of a lawyer a layperson and a psychiatrist decided to renew my CTO. Once a CTO is renewed the first time it changes from being reviewed every six months to being reviewed every twelve months. About two months into my second CTO term Dr.Pellow mentioned taking me off the CTO. About five months into my second CTO term Dr. Pellow asked me if I would be willing to sign a release which would allow Dr.Pellow to release all health information about my meetins with Dr. Pellow to my mother once I was taken off my CTO. This was an Act of Coersion. If I said no I would most likely been kept on the CTO. The medication I was on, Paliperadone Once Monthly 125mg, made me Sterile and was raising my chloresterol. I agreed to sign the release out of fear of being kept on the CTO. I was taken off the CTO by Dr.Pellow after the sixth month of my second CTO term. At the time I was living with my mother and decided to move into a homeless shelter in Halifax to hopefully escape the medication. I left a message with Dr.Pellow saying I was no longer in need of her services. One of Dr.Pellow's team tried to make contact with me at the shelter but I refused to take the call. This took place this past June, 2015 and I have not heard anything from Dr.Pellows team since and am once again able to father children.
