Aside from being rushed and not particularly well informed, Dr. Sudai is indifferent to female reproductive issues as well as to those living with chronic pain in general. For years I complained of migraines and she offered little information and prescribed drugs that never worked, maintaining a position of "well, there's nothing you can really do about it". On my own, I sought out a neurologist who was able to provide me with a fairly effective medication and referred me to physiotherapy. Later, I developed severe and debilitating menstrual cramps and put me on pain killers and a slew of different brands of birth control (many of which are not recommended for migraine sufferers) and even when they failed to have any effect, she refused to discuss other options with me, let alone refer me to someone who might know what they're talking about. She seemed to think that what I was going through was somehow "normal". I have since discovered that I have a large cyst on one of my ovaries that needs to be removed. On top of this, she was utterly uninformed about and insensitive to lgbt issues, consistently "forgetting" that I'm not straight (even though it's written in my file, which she read off of at every visit) and perpetuating the notion that anyone with a vag is born into the role of baby-maker. She was my GP growing up and I believe that her influence in my life has been, to some extent or another, both physically and emotionally damaging.
