I only met with Dr Pasricha a couple of times But my first visit there I had no idea that it was a inpatient unit I was referred to So my first visit I wasTotally Traumatized & I could not stop thinking about it for about 3 weeks But for my next visit I was prepared & I was able to explain myself in a clearer spence Dr Pasricha was very kind to me & believed me when I told her what I thought I needed in regards treatment I was diagnosed with ptsd Dr Pasricha confirmed to me what I was sure I had ii really needed that confirmation because I thought I was going nuts But I do understand I met a woman downtown I saw at the inpatient unit when I went there for my visit she is 58 yrs old a crack addict she told me she started to smoke it because she would stop having flashbacks Her story broke my heart I'm so happy that Dr Pasricha knew in her experience that I am stronger than I give my self credit for Thank You Dr Pasricha

My first visit to Camh was absolutly HORRIBLE!!! I have ptsd I have had it for 18 yrs It developed when I became pregnant with my daughter due to childhood sexual assaults & severe violence in my home on.a daily basis My ptsd set off the FLIGHT mode in my mind & I have been unable to date anyone while I was raising my daughter due to fear of Pedophlia I.also had to walk away from my entire family because of the incest that took place in my home as a child I was referred to Camh by another therapist WELL as soon as I sat down the first thing I was told that Iam UNWELL & I was prescibed Seraquel & Cypralex both of which I have never taken in my life I was told that I needed to start the meds IMMEDIATLY Dr Parsicha made it sound like the world was going to stop spinning if I didnt start the meds that night WellI did not take the Seraquel at all I tried the Cypralex but all it did was give me a headache So I had to go back to see her two weeks later The Chic was so confused she did not remember why I was there or that she was the one who gave mwme the Seraquel or how long she gave it to me for She also told that she had the Rights Advisor there to inform me that she had every intention on keeping in the Impatients woman unit By the Grace of God the chic came back to reality & realized that it would of blew up in her face due to the fact that I have lived in the same residence with my daughter for the last 13 yrs I do not have a criminal record Nor I have I ever put my hands on my daughter & THIS IS WHY SURVIVORS OF CHILDHOOD TRUAMA KEEP THERE MOUTHS SHUT BECAUSE AS SOON AS YOU TELL SOMEONE IN AUTHORITY YOU ARE REVICTIMIZED ALL OVER AGAIN so sad but this was my expeirence with Dr Parsicha All I can say is Thank God for Oprah Wimphry & My Lovely Dr Phil.

The worst pstchiatrist I have ever met. No idea what she's doing in a place like CAMH. She makes you feel bad sbout the issues in your life when you're in a low place already. She was honestly the main reason why I desperately wanted to leave the unit. Callous and uncaring and should be fired. Has no idea how to be empathetic, supportive or kind.

Not just 'bad', but destructive: • judgmental and critical • “looks down” at patients and treats them as inferior • cannot accept feedback • unwilling to collaborate • does not empathize • does not listen or convey concern • disrespectful of patient’s feelings Has little understanding of women, abuse, and trauma. Blames and diminishes.
