He has been my doctor since he started his in 1989 when he was still in Mississauga. I didn't see him very regularly, but when i did, I remembered he was always LATE!!! I would book the 1st appointment only to wait on him! He has recently moved to Market Village and coincidentally, I settled not too far away. So I continued to see him. But I will have to change coz I went to see him and again he was late - and I was his 1st appointment. I didn't bother to wait. The receptionist told me he was also late the previous day. He is also very old fashioned, appears to have no personality, and does not want to know anything about the client beyond what is required during the visit. Each visit is very quick and he seems to rush out his patients. Probably trying to make up time for his tardiness! He needs to respect his commitments and other peoples' schedules. If he cannot be there by a certain time, he should ask his receptionist to schedule later appointments! Or just retire!!

I went to the Market Village Health Centre to make an appointment regarding (Doctor’s note for massage). I made an appointment with the receptionist to see Dr. Ng whom I had seen once before. I sat in the waiting area across from reception, which seats two attendants, but only the receptionist of the chiropractor was present. She informed me that neither the Doctor nor receptionists were. I waited patiently listening to my iPod. At 10:25 am Dr. Ng’s receptionist had arrived and at 10:30 am asked me what time was my appointment? I said 10:10 am. She berated me for not letting her know I was waiting. Dr. Ng called me in at 10:40 am. In his office he yelled, “Is there snow outside?” I said yes but ... again he cut me off and fired “Is there snow outside?” I thought to myself what does this have to do with my question and it’s Winter? Hey was visibly agitated and I didn’t want to make a scene so I said let’s talk about the reason I’m here? He didn’t like that and yelled “we are late because it’s snowing outside. That’s all you need to know”. He then said “put down your bag because you look tense”. Of course I’m tense. He’s yelling at me. He asked where I lived? I replied “Downtown”. Asked, “if I had a family Doctor”? He went on and on saying he doesn’t take new patients. I said, “What is your bottom line?” hinting at leaving. He said he would provide the note. Looking at my chart he said “is this your family doctor?” I said I do “walk-ins at a clinic downtown”. He asked my age and why I don’t have a family doctor? He said he doesn’t take any patients as a family doctor. I wasn’t interested in family doctor and wondered why the receptionist schedule my appointment? I wanted the note so let him berate me. Finally asked me what I wanted? I told him the pain with my muscles from working out in the gym. He asked me where is the pain of which I replied “my shoulders”. Within seconds he scribbled me a note prescribing massage therapy and I agreed that I would not return to his clinic.
