This is the WORST doctor I have ever seen! I decided to book an appointment with her because my boyfriend was going to see Dr Hans at Nova medical clinic. I came in due to lack of periods for extended periods of time, ovarian and cervical CANCER runs in my family so I was worried. Immediately I felt awkward and uncomfortable in her presence. I explained that I haven't had a period in 6 months and have had irregular periods for about 7 or so years now. She brought up my clean pap test and told me that I am fat and that I would be fine if I just lost weight. I WAS SMALLER THAN HER. I explained that even when I weighed less I still had irregular periods. I explained that cervical and ovarian cancer runs in my family. That my grandmother on my dads side had ovarian cancer, resulting in her ovaries having to be removed. But the worst part of this meeting, other than calling me FAT, was after I explained that my aunt had cervical and ovarian cancer around 25, her ovary burst at 28 resulting in her having to get an emergency surgery to complete a hysterectomy before she could have children. "Dr" Sheela Duia literally called me and my aunt a liar and wanted to see her medical records to confirm what I was telling her. Like, excuse me???!! My aunt has suffered from depression because she has not been able to have kids and a health "professional" has the audacity to call her a liar and myself fat??! Unacceptable. Dr. Sheela Duia should have her medical degree revoked for how little she cares and how unbelievably rude and fatphobic she is. AVOID THIS HORRIBLE PERSON LIKE THE PLAGUE! I cannot believe my taxes cover her wage. I have since seen a different doctor that didn't try to avoid my health concerns by just calling me fat. This doctor did blood work and ultrasounds and diagnosed me with PCOS. You know what one of the main symptoms of PCOS is? Irregular periods and WEIGHT GAIN/DIFFICULTY LOSING WEIGHT! I have since got my periods back. Do yourself a favor and find a better doctor than this useless one.
