She is very nice and always patient. Always spend time to explain things. Highly recommend.

Swollen joints

Dr Koren, though personable, was not helpful with determining why my knees were swelling and only until more than a year later, was my knee drained.

I saw Dr. Koren for severe pain. She ordered all the correct blood tests which showed I did not have rheumatoid arthritis. Based on this she said there was nothing wrong with me. She made referrals to my family doctor about medications but didn't ask me about them. I was allergic to one of them and the other had caused a very bad reaction in me. She was abrupt and non-interested in my as a person. She is very qualified, but looks at the tests and not the person.

As a new patient I found her to be very logical and straight forward asking about current problems/symptons, history of past doctors/med history, findings, review of current med stack, and asking about the med stack to ensure I knew why i am taking them. After an efficient physical examination of my current symptoms created the requisition for more testing. I found her review of the findings to be clear and succinct. With empathy, she provided a diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment plan. I trust, value, and respect her and am grateful that she is my Rheumatologist. BG
