Having been in and out of the hospital several times for abdominal pain and vomiting, and been given prescriptions for both which only curb the symptoms but have not solved anything, this doctor advised me that i should be discharged with Tylenol. When I asked what I should do when I have pain to the point of loss of consciousness he has given me no answers other than I should stop smoking marijuana which I have not smoked in 3 months as it is. He says it may take more time to get it out of my system and I agreed but still what do I do in the mean time for pain? No answer. I asked him what about my spiking fevers and he said he wasn’t aware I even had fevers when in fact I was admitted 2 days ago with a fever. He said he would go take another look at my file which leads me to believe he skimmed over it and clearly didn’t do a thorough investigation. Additionally I was seen by a different doctor yesterday who gave me a plan with a non narcotic medication that he said should take effect in 4-5 days but in the mean time I will stay on pain management medication, but dr khadelwal disagrees and said he thinks there’s nothing they can do for me. I am otherwise a healthy 28 year old male who doesn’t drink, doesn’t use any other drugs other than recreational cannabis in the past, which I have agreed to stop and have stopped. It just doesn’t make sense that his only advise was to stop something which I have already stopped and have seen no difference in my quality of life. I’ve lost 45 pounds over the last year and vomit on a daily basis from pain. I feel like the doctor wouldn’t even listen to what I had to say and automatically stereotyped me because of my age and the fact that I said I have used marijuana.
