I care for a special needs lady. Dr. Amarakone is her physician. This doctor and her staff are sadly the most unprofessional healthcare providers that I have ever encountered. This doctor advised that the lady's meds be discontinued as they were no longer effective. She said she was going to provide a script for something new that would help her. When I arrived at the pharmacy, the pharmacist said that it was the exact same medication and said she would fax this doctor and suggest alternate meds. When she did so, the staff and doctor were completely unhelpful and changed nothing and the lady was left witht he same prescription. The pharmacist told me that in all her years of practice she had never seen something like this. Likewise, this doctor also advised the lady should wear incontinence pull ups at night and wrote it on the same RX pad. The pharmacist said this wasn't acceptable as she required a form be filled out (the patient is on disability as she is developmentally delayed) She said the doctor should have filled this form out. I had to get a form and bring it back. I asked them to call me when the form was filled out. I did not hear back from them three days later so I called. I was shocked when I was asked to come in and show the doctor how to fill the form in. When I explained that I thoughtt the doctor should know how to do this and advised that I had never filled out a form like this (why would I have?) I was told to make another appointment and come in and show her anyway. When I said that I thought that was ridiculous I was hung up on. The staff there are rude and disrespectful. They care little for anyone. I was also there once and heard a staff member being very curt and rude on the phone. She hung up and the two women there laughed. Unbelievable.

Let's not forget the internet is an unregulated and unverifiable entity. I look at everything and anything found on the internet with a skeptical eye. My family have been patients of Dr. Amarakone for a long time. We all find her to be knowledgeable, competent and very efficient. In every instance the diagnosis was correct and the proper treatment was administered.
