He gives a great impression of someone who couldn't care less, which of course can't be the case. Taking vacations without making sure that his patients know in advance, and almost never having a doctor covering for him when he is away, has nothing to do with it.

Dr. Hassan ignored me when I came forward to him with child abuse that I had suffered and was suffering. I was 10 years old at the time. I was a crown ward of the government of Ontario. This abuse would continue for another eight years. His negligence put myself and dozens of children in harm and danger. All survivors should be believed when they come forward. Especially to professionals who are supposed to protect children. But to give the community a perspective of how severe the abuse I suffered was and how much evidence I have of this abuse. I was eventually rescued by the FBI. I was still a child at the time. That was the only thing that stopped the abuse. Dr. Hassan also treated one of my biological relatives after he had treated me for two years. This biological relative was one of my abusers. Thirty years later Dr. Hassan is still treating this person. This made me believe for thirty years that I was responsible for the abuse that I suffered. Treating members of the same family is unethical. Especially when one of them is a vulnerable child who is in government care. I brought this to Dr. Hassan’s attention three years ago and he again minimized the abuse I suffered as a child and would not validate my concerns. Nor would he acknowledge his contribution to the negligence in my case. Saying that “I was a child at the time” and that “it was 30 years ago.” I would like to bring legal action against Dr. Hassan, but unfortunately because of Canadian law that is unlikely to happen. So all I can do to protect the public is to make my case transparent. Please do not bring vulnerable people to this doctor. Especially children.
