I have the utmost confidence in Dr. Schellenberg. She is always upfront with me and tells it like it is. I like her sense of humour; she always makes me feel comfortable and listened to.

I have been going to Dr Schellenberg for about a year and a half and when I went to her I could hardly walk and was in so much pain with rheumatoid arthritis. I gave up doing anything and gave up the love of my life quilting for I couldn't do it anymore. I owe her my life for now I am back 100%. She prescribed a medication that works for me and I am doing everything I did before. I praise God for leading me to her. She is such a wonderful Dr and very kind and friendly.

Today, I spent an hour waiting for her. I spent 5 minutes in the appointment, she gave a quick glance, and said my RA was "fine" because she couldn't see swelling and my bone scan didn't detect any swelling. She didn't even ask me to take my pants off to see my knee (despite the fact that I actually have stretch marks on the inside of my knee from such severe inflammation). The inflammation I'm faced with is very obvious, and a bone scan is to scan bones, not FLUID. She was happy that I didn't manage to fill and take the medication she had prescribed me 3 months prior (despite the fact that, upon prescribing, she was saying she wished she could give me MUCH stronger medications than I could afford) because of the lack of swelling: I guess she forgot that I'm as ill as I am right now because of a lack of treatment. Not only is she unprofessional, she is uninformed, can't keep her story straight, and blatantly would rather be anywhere but at work (as shown by throwing me out after 5 minutes, and not showing up to work on a Wednesday because 'she forgot and was drinking coffee at home while watching tv'). It's time to find a new rheumatologist: one that actually wants to help people rather than sit at home, or, when they HAVE to come to work, not actually work. How someone so ignorant, rude, unprofessional, lazy, and uncaring became a doctor is beyond me.
