Just reading on line about Dr. Bernat on a few sites. Confirms my fears. The doctor is the problem and not the patient. Panorama Medical Clinic has its own site that several people have reviewed them on. Really disasterous reading, but I encountered similar, identical problems. How do we hold doctors accountable? Its costing us money as taxpayers for inferior service. I was given an antibiotic with a double black warning. Yup , look that meaning up. I don't even like taking Tylenol and my doctor knew that when prescribing it. I did not know for a couple of days and stopped taking it immediately. Effects could happen now anytime in my life from it.

I have a rather complex medical file and have found Dr. Bernat very professional and efficient. He is quite knowledgeable and I believe very proficient.

I have seen this doctor on 3 different occasions at Panorama Village clinic. To be fair, he works at a busy clinic and takes walk in patients mostly. However, on all three occasions he has seemed to be somewhat disinterested and, on my last visit, uninformed. I presented with a possible sports hernia as diagnosed by my physiotherapist. I had to see a GP to get referral for imaging to determine extent of damage. Dr Bernat admitted he had never heard of a sports hernia, questioned the knowledge of my physio (quote - "sounds like a made up diagnosis to me") and then checked me for a regular hernia (they are different) which he used as confirmation that my physio misdiagnosed. Keep in mind that he opened by saying he had never heard of sports hernia. I looked it up on my phone for him and he still wasn't convinced. Everytime I see him I leave feeling underwhelmed with the service. This last time I felt like he had a lack in competency. I've since heard from the pharmacist who filled the prescription he wrote for me that they sometimes question his prescriptions. I'm sure it's difficult to work in clinic conditions, but I won't be going back to him.
